• Rural Home Guard: Minimum educational qualification of the candidate should be 7th class passed.
• Urban Home Guard: Minimum educational qualification of the candidate should be 10th class passed.

• Minimum Age: 19 years
• Maximum Age: 40 years
• Age Calculation: As on 1st January 2025

Jharkhand Home Guard Physical Standards

For Male Candidates:

• Height: General/OBC/BC: 162 cm, SC/ST: 157 cm
• Chest: General/OBC/BC: 79 cm (Expanded to 84 cm), SC/ST: 76 cm (Expanded to 81 cm)

For Female Candidates:

• Height: 148 cms for all categories
• Chest: Will not be measured

Jharkhand Home Guard Selection Process

• Written Exam: In this, questions related to general knowledge, mathematics, and reasoning will be asked.
• Physical Measurement Test: In this, the height, chest etc. of the candidates will be measured.
• Physical Efficiency Test: In this, activities like running, long jump, high jump etc. will be included.
